Liquid chillers (water/water)

Frigo Plus manufactures multiple product series operating on the water-to-water heat exchange principle. They are categorized by cooling or heating capacity. Water/water units use the natural refrigerant R290 (propane) with an extremely low global warming potential GWP < 1. For low-temperature operation (below -5 °C), the natural refrigerant R1270 (propylene) can be used, also with an extremely low global warming potential GWP << 1. Water/water units can be engineered for high-temperature water heating up to 90 °C, using the natural refrigerant R600a (GWP << 1). These natural refrigerants have zero ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0). Accordingly, they are exempt from restrictions prescribed by F-Gas regulation, i.e. Regulation (EU) 2024/573 on fluorinated greenhouse gases.

Water/water units use water (or a water-glycol mixture) as a heat source and heat sink. Therefore, they can be configured / designed for:

Cooling — The unit operates as a water chiller, controlling cooling only.
Heating — The unit operates as a heat pump, controlling heating only.
Heating and cooling — Depending on the selected operating mode, the control system manages either heating or cooling, but not both simultaneously.

Each unit is built using proven, high-quality components from reputable manufacturers and is factory tested to verify functionality and operational safety.

OUR PRODUCT SERIES

Pico

PICO units are water/water systems characterized by exceptional compactness and high efficiency. They are primarily intended to cover heating or cooling demands of smaller-capacity systems. PICO units can be connected in parallel, creating a flexible system with higher heating or cooling capacity. Each PICO unit uses an advanced hermetic scroll compressor. Intended for indoor installation.

The MINIWONE series includes high-efficiency units with a very compact design. Developed to cover heating or cooling demands of smaller systems. Each MINIWONE unit uses a semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor controlled by a high-efficiency, advanced frequency inverter. Outdoor and indoor installation is possible.

Flipper & Flipper Duo

FLIPPER units are high-efficiency, water-cooled water chillers / heat pumps with a very compact, modular design. Developed to cover cooling and/or heating demands of small and medium-capacity systems. Intended for indoor installation only.

Exceptional compactness and modularity make these units ideal for retrofit applications, e.g. existing buildings with limited installation space. By connecting multiple FLIPPER units in parallel, a flexible system is created that can also cover the needs of larger systems.

Topdual

The TOPDUAL series consists of high-efficiency, water-cooled water chillers / heat pumps in a compact design. Developed to cover cooling and/or heating demands of systems of all sizes — from the smallest to the largest. Indoor and outdoor installation is possible.

When combined with hydro modules designed and engineered specifically for TOPDUAL units, the application range is significantly expanded while keeping installation space requirements low and simplifying maintenance of the equipment and auxiliary components.
